4 teaspoons baking powder
2 tablespoons white sugar
2 tablespoons flaxseed powder
1 1/2 cups oat milk (2 cups for a thinner consistency)
1/3 cup oil
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4–1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Step 1: Gather all of your ingredients and a large bowl.
Step 2: Mix all of the dry ingredients — flour, salt, baking powder, sugar, and flaxseed powder — in the large bowl.
Step 3: Preheat your waffle iron to your desired temperature.
Step 4: Add all of the wet ingredients — oat milk, oil, and vanilla extract — into the large bowl with the dry ingredients.
Step 5: Mix the batter with a whisk until the majority or all of the small lumps are gone.
OPTIONAL Step 6: Add the chocolate chips if you want and mix them into the batter.
Step 7: Pour the batter into the preheated waffle iron.
